Bible Study Thursdays 7-9pm

In the Church

This month we are studying the book of David

God has power over every storm

If the wind and waves don't concern Him, then they shouldn't frighten you.

You might not be able to change your situation, but you can choose to faithfully trust God in the middle of it.

Whenever you find yourself overwhelmed by life, you always have two choices:

you can focus on your circumstances, or fix your eyes on Jesus.

If you choose to look to Jesus above everything else, you will begin to see that the storms you face are not nearly as powerful as the Saviour choosing to walk through the storm alongside you.

Jesus Calms the Storm Matthew 8: 23-28

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.

25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

When we read the bible on our own we don't see the blind spots

When we study in our groups we spot each others blind spots

We are currently studying Living Faith by Krish Kandiah
